How to attract landscaping customers
Summer is slipping by very fast and the snow will be flying before we know it. Winter does not have to be a slow time for landscapers. It is a good time to keep up with a marketing strategy on how to attract landscaping customers. Below are some ways that you can attract, appeal to and retain new landscaping customers this fall and winter.
Potential customers will want to see what qualifications your fleet has. Be sure that your qualifications are easy to locate on your company’s website. This includes any education, certifications, insurance and any organizations your company may belong to. If possible, make a page on your website specifically to show a portfolio of your work. Make sure the pictures are high quality and clear.
They will also want to see references and good reviews from current and former clients. Be sure to encourage current clients to leave reviews on Google, Yelp, and Facebook. Respond diplomatically to any negative reviews they may have and try to resolve the situation. Display the best reviews on your social media channels and on your website.
If the potential client requests a preliminary meeting, first impressions are very important. Listen to the client, and answer their questions. It shows that you have a vested interest in their needs and wants. After the initial meeting it does not hurt to follow up with a written thank you note.
Clients may also want to hire a fleet that is active within their community. Your company could always sponsor a little league or soccer team. Volunteering is wonderful as well. Volunteer to do some free of charge landscaping at your local senior center or school.
